EPS cement sandwich wall panels are lightweight, prefabricated wall panels with a cement-based core containing EPS beads, cast under pressure in closed vertical moulds. This article is for building-materials manufacturers and investors in the Middle East, Central Asia, Southeast Asia and Africa who are considering producing these panels locally. It explains how the panels are made, how they differ from other products sold as “sandwich panels”, and what to settle before you request quotes for a production line.
What the panel is — and what it is not
In the most common design, two facing boards, usually fibre cement or calcium silicate board, line each mould cavity, and the EPS bead and cement core is cast between them. The result is a panel that is installed as a large prefabricated unit with tongue-and-groove joints, mainly for partition and infill walls, instead of masonry built block by block.
It is not the same product as the metal-faced EPS sandwich panel, which bonds steel sheets to an EPS block on a roll-forming and laminating line and is used for the roofs and cladding of steel buildings and for cold rooms. The two products are made on different lines and sold to different buyers. Make sure every supplier you talk to is quoting the same one.
How the panels are made
- Batching and mixing — the core materials are weighed and mixed into a slurry.
- Pressure injection — a pressure injection machine pumps the slurry into the moulds.
- Forming in vertical moulds — a group vertical mould machine holds the panels upright in cavities closed on all six sides, so the core fills the cavity completely.
- Curing — the panels stay in the moulds until the core has gained enough strength.
- Demoulding — the moulds are opened and the finished panels are taken out for storage.
The core machines are the group vertical mould machine and the pressure injection machine. Lines are commonly configured at around 100,000, 200,000 or 500,000 m² of panel per year; the number of mould sets in circulation and the curing cycle decide where a line falls in that range.
Plan the facing boards early
Facing boards are bought for the life of the plant, not once. Decide early whether you will buy them locally, import them, or make them yourself, and make sure their size and thickness match the moulds you order. If you plan to make your own, we also supply calcium silicate and fibre cement board production lines.
What to put in your enquiry
- Target output in m² per year
- Panel sizes: thickness, width and length, and the wall types you plan to sell
- Facing boards: type, and whether they will be bought locally, imported or made in-house
- Core materials available locally, including cement and EPS beads
- Site: building dimensions, and space for curing and panel storage
- Preferred level of automation, and the size of your operating team
- Product standards or building approvals required in your market
- Destination country and target timeline
How we work
YuxingCorp coordinates building-materials production lines from manufacturers we have visited and qualified, together with supplier coordination, pre-shipment inspection, and shipping and freight logistics coordination. Every shipment comes with a full pre-shipment inspection report — test-run records, functional and dimensional checks, photos and video — before the equipment leaves the factory, and with a complete export document pack — commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and bill of lading. Import customs clearance, duties, taxes and local registration are the buyer’s responsibility. Our standard payment terms are T/T: 30% deposit and 70% before shipment. We provide installation guidance and commissioning support on site.
