High-speed precision presses for stamping

High-speed precision presses for progressive-die stamping of motor laminations, lead frames, connectors, terminals and automotive parts. The range covers C-type presses from 16 tons, knuckle-type presses for precise forming, gantry-frame and four-post presses for wide dies, and large high-speed presses up to 400 tons.

How to choose a precision press

Start from the die: tonnage, bolster size and stroke must suit the part and the progressive die. C-type presses such as the HC-25T are compact and easy to load for smaller dies. Knuckle presses such as the MARX-60T slow the slide near bottom dead center, which helps coining and precise forming. Gantry-frame and four-post presses such as the DHS-45T or the MDH-65T keep deflection low under the off-center loads of wide dies. For motor cores and larger parts, high-speed presses such as the DDH-220T and the 400-ton eight-sided guide press combine tonnage with high stroke rates.

What to send for a quotation

Send the part drawing or die layout, the material and thickness, the strokes per minute you need, the bolster size, your coil feeding arrangement and the factory voltage.

FAQ

Knuckle or crank press?

A knuckle press slows down near bottom dead center and holds pressure longer, which suits coining, embossing and precise forming. A crank press, C-type or gantry-frame, is faster and simpler for blanking and progressive stamping.

What decides the tonnage?

For blanking, the cut length multiplied by the material thickness and shear strength, plus the forming forces, with a safety margin. Send the part drawing and material so the tonnage can be checked.

Why does bottom dead center accuracy matter?

It controls how deep the punch enters the die on every stroke. Small variations change part dimensions and wear the die faster, so high-speed presses are built to hold bottom dead center steady at full speed.
