Standard:

  • ASTM B338 / ASME SB338
  • ASTM B861 / ASME SB861
  • ASTM B862 / ASME SB862

Size Specifications:

  • Outer Diameter (OD): 6.0 mm – 150 mm
  • Wall Thickness: 0.4 mm – 15 mm
  • Length: Up to 15,000 mm

Where it is used

Grade 2 is the most widely used titanium for tubes and pipes: seawater-cooled condensers in power plants, heat exchangers in chemical and petrochemical plants, desalination units, offshore and marine piping, and pulp and paper bleaching equipment.

How to choose

Grade 2 gives a good balance of strength, formability, weldability and corrosion resistance, and is the default choice unless the service needs something else. Use Grade 1 for heavier forming, Grade 12 or a palladium grade (Grade 7 or 16) for hot brines and reducing acids where crevice corrosion is a risk, and Grade 9 or Grade 5 where higher strength is needed.

What to send for a quotation

Send the grade, standard (ASTM B338 for condenser and heat exchanger tubes, B861 for seamless pipe, B862 for welded pipe), seamless or welded, outside diameter, wall thickness, length, quantity, and the tests and certificates you need (for example eddy current or hydrostatic testing and EN 10204 3.1 certificates).

How We Work - Our Commitments

Each commitment carries a condition and a remedy. A promise without conditions is marketing.

Commitment:

A written sourcing report within 48 hours of a complete requirement brief.

Conditions:

Requires machine type or output target, destination country, and timeline. Custom or multi-line projects may take longer – we tell you upfront.

Remedy:

If we cannot meet it, you receive an interim response with a firm date –
not silence.

Commitment:

Third-party pre-shipment inspection – SGS or BV – before balance payment is released.

Conditions:

Included as standard on production-line projects. Available on request for single machines. Scope agreed in writing before booking.

Remedy:

If inspection fails against the agreed specification, shipment does not release until corrected or you approve a deviation in writing.

Commitment:

Complete export document pack – commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and destination-specific conformity documents.

Conditions:

Destination conformity regimes (CE, EAC, SABER/SASO, PVOC, SONCAP) vary and change. We confirm the applicable route per project before contract.

Remedy:

If a document we are responsible for causes a customs hold, we resolve it and carry the correction cost.

Commitment:

12-month equipment warranty with a named responsible contact and a written spare-parts dispatch commitment.

Conditions:

Covers manufacturing defects under normal operation and specified maintenance. Wear parts and consumables excluded.

Remedy:

Dispatch window and remedy – details to be confirmed. Contact us for project-specific warranty terms.
