UV Coating and Painting Line for Decorative Boards
UV coating and curing lines that turn calcium silicate, fibre cement and MgO boards into decorative finished panels — supplied with a new board line or added to an existing plant.
UV Coating and Paint Lines We Supply
UV Coating Process for Decorative Boards
Dust removal → UV primer by roller coating (forward and reverse rollers) → curing (two lamps) → sanding → double-sided dust removal → top coat by curtain or roller coating → levelling (12 m or 22 m levelling section) → top coat curing (four lamps, then two) → film covering and off-loading.
Which Boards Can Be UV Coated
Calcium silicate board, fibre cement board and MgO board used as decorative substrates. UV coating and curing is the standard way to give these boards a finished surface.
UV Coating Finishes
- Stone patterns
- Wood grain by transfer printing
- High-gloss surfaces
- Soft-touch (skin-feel) surfaces
Coating Stations and UV Lamps
Each coating station is followed by 2–4 UV lamps, and a complete line typically has 6–10. UV curing machines come in two-, three- and five-lamp versions, matched to the coating and the line speed.
Capacity, Site and Project Timeline
- Output: 1–1.5 million m² a year at a line speed of 5–20 m/min (10 m/min is typical)
- Line body: about 33.5 × 2.2 m; a 1,000–2,000 m² workshop is enough, about 3,000 m² including finished-goods storage
- Delivery: a complete line in 40–60 working days
- Installation and commissioning: usually 2 engineers on site for 3–4 weeks
These are typical figures; your output, products and site decide the final configuration and schedule.
Two Ways to Buy
- With a new board line — the plant ships decorative finished boards from day one instead of competing on price with bare boards.
- As an upgrade — existing board plants add a UV line to move into finished, higher-value products.

What to Send for a Quotation
- Boards to be coated: calcium silicate, fibre cement or MgO board — sizes and thickness range
- Finishes: stone, wood grain, high-gloss or soft-touch
- Target output (m² a year) and line speed
- A new board plant, or an upgrade to an existing one
- Power supply and building dimensions
- Destination country and target timeline
With your output target, destination country and timeline we can start, and you receive a written sourcing report within 48 hours of a complete requirement brief. Boards for coating come from our calcium silicate and fibre cement board line or MgO board line.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which boards can the line coat?
Calcium silicate board, fibre cement board and MgO board used as decorative substrates.
What finishes can it produce?
Stone patterns, wood grain by transfer printing, and high-gloss or soft-touch surfaces.
Can we add a UV line to our existing board plant?
Yes. A UV line can be supplied on its own as an upgrade, or together with a new board line.
How many UV lamps does a line need?
Each coating station has 2–4 lamps; a complete line typically has 6–10, depending on the coatings and line speed.
What output and space does a line need?
About 1–1.5 million m² a year at 5–20 m/min (typically 10 m/min). The line body is about 33.5 × 2.2 m and fits in a 1,000–2,000 m² workshop — about 3,000 m² with finished-goods storage.
How long does a project take, and who do you send?
A complete line is delivered in 40–60 working days. We usually send 2 engineers for 3–4 weeks of installation and commissioning.
What do you need to prepare a quotation?
Your board types, sizes and thickness, the finishes you want, target output, details of any existing board line, project location and planned timeline.
